Mini Vinnies

The end of 2016 saw the Vincentian family growing in the Archdiocese as several schools set up Mini Vinnie groups.

Following an introduction to Vincentian Youth Groups by the newly appointed Young Vincentian Development Officer at the Annual Mass for School and College Staff in September (appropriately on the feast of St Vincent de Paul) many schools registered an interest in engaging in the work of SVP.

Since then pupils at St Mary’s Canton, St Mary’s Brynmawr, St Cuthberts and St John Lloyd have been commissioned and join existing Mini Vinnies in St Joseph’s Penarth and Our Lady and St Michaels Abergavenny.  At least four more schools are due to be commissioned this term and so the Vincentian family grows.

In addition to our thriving Mini Vinnie Groups we have Youth SVP in St Richard Gwyn and St Iltyds high schools as well as in St Mary’s Dinas Powys Parish.

Young Vincentian Groups are available for all ages from 7 to 33
