Romero Trust to hold lecture in Cornerstone

The Romero Trust in partnership with Cytun (Churches Together in Wales) will host the annual Romero lecture in the Cornerstone, Charles Street, Cardiff on Saturday 26th March 2022 at 11.00am.

The guest lecturer will be Dr Edgardo Colon Emeric,
Dean of the Divinity School at Duke University in North Carolina who will deliver the lecture:

 “Oscar Romero – an Ecumenical Inspiration for the 2020s”

The Romero Trust seeks to promote knowledge and awareness of the life and work of Archbishop (now Saint) Oscar Romero.  St. Oscar Romero served as Archbishop of San Salvador when he was assassinated whilst celebrating Mass on March 24th 1980.  A strong voice in the fight for human rights and social justice in his country, Romero was martyred for his standing and canonised in by Pope Francis in 2018
