It is with deep sadness that the Archdiocese has learned of the sudden death of Mr. Christian Brown OBE KSG who died yesterday, Tuesday 29th May 2018.
Christian was heavily involved in the Cornerstone project helping to secure the record £1.1 million Heritage Lottery Fund grant for the project. He also served as project management during the redevelopment of the former Ebenezer Chapel. He has also been actively involved in a number of other project works throughout the diocese working with various parishes.
Mr Brown has previously served as a Trustee of the Archdiocese. And was recently awarding a papal knighthood for his services to the Church. He will be fondly remembered for his immense energy and commitment to his work.
Aside from his work within the diocese, Christian also held very successful roles in the private sector; most notably working in Public Relations for Sir Richard Branson and the Virgin group. He also undertook numerous charitable works on both a local and national level for which he was recognised nationally.
Archbishop George Stack and the Diocese as a whole send their condolsances to his family and an assurance of our prayers at this sad time.
May he rest in peace.
