Glorious Thanksgiving

It was a fitting conclusion to the end of our Centenary Year with two representatives from every parish in the Archdiocese attending the Thanksgiving Mass at St David’s Metropolitan Cathedral.

The scene was set with the Processional Hymn Praise to the Holiest in the height, referred to by Archbishop George as the most wonderful and moving work by Cardinal John Henry Newman.

The congregation responded with enthusiasm, joining the Cathedral Choir, conducted by Dominic Neville, and creating a wonderful musical sound which threatened to take the roof off the cathedral!

The Centenary Year has been full of joyful celebrations, including the opening of the Cornerstone, referred to by Archbishop George in his Homily as being a great contribution to the life not only of the Archdiocese, but of Cardiff.
