Sherry Weddell Day for the Laity

June 15 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Sherry Weddell Day for the Laity
Saturday, June 15th 2019

The Venue: The Holiday Inn, The Coldra, Newport NP18 2YG
10am – 4pm

We are very pleased to announce that Sherry Weddell, world-renowned author and evangelist, is coming to our Diocese to help us as we reach out to people in fulfilling the great commission “Go and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all the commands I gave you.” (Matt 28: 19-20).

On Saturday, June 15th this year, Sherry Weddell will be speaking on her extensive research into the ‘thresholds’ or ‘stages’ that people go through when becoming disciples of Jesus Christ.  In preparation for her visit, parishes across the Diocese have set up ‘Forming Intentional Disciples’ or ‘FID’ groups and are reading and discussing her book.

Sherry Weddell has requested that all delegates on the day arrive with a working knowledge of her work.  Further groups will be starting during Lent and after Easter so there is still time to attend a group.

The cost of the day is £75 per person.  Parishes expect to be paying for people wishing to attend.  Please speak to your parish priest.  It may be that a few people may wish to pay for themselves or to make a contribution.  This will be a private matter between individuals and their parish priest.  Lunch, tea and coffee are included in the cost.

Please complete the accompanying booking form and send it as instructed on the form.  If you do not have access to the Internet, please e-mail madeleine.walters@rcadc.org for a hard copy.

For more information and further details on future FID groups in your area please e-mail madeleine.walters@rcadc.org or fbcallus@aol.com
