Monday 22nd February 2pm for 35 minutes (with 30 minutes questions at the end)
Delivered by Chris Brudenell, Ecclesiastical Insurance
The National Churches Trust’s Experiencing Sacred Wales project is supporting historic places of worship in Wales by providing free training for all involved with churches and chapels. Join us to discover how your place of worship can benefit from tourism; helping encourage visitors and raising funds.
This session will feature a presentation from Ecclesiastical Insurance, focused on why they believe churches should be open.
The session will be delivered by Chris Brudenell, Church Insurance Consultant Team Manager, who is based in Wales.
Chris’s background, in both insurance and the Not-for-Profit sector, gives him a great starting point for his role as Church Insurance Consultant Team Manager. His previous role as Events Manager for a national Christian charity means that he is well prepared for attending events and running training sessions. Chris began his career in insurance working with church and charity policies, risk management and health and safety issues, so he has a deep understanding of churches and their insurance and risk management concerns.
The session will consider:
- the myths about being open
- why keep churches open
- guiding principles
All involved in historic places of worship in Wales are invited to attend. This event is free of charge. The presentation (in pdf form) will be emailed to all attendees afterwards.
The workshops will be delivered in English.
