“The Word of God is something alive and active” (Hebrews 4:12)
During this Lenten Retreat we shall focus on how we listen to God.
In the Old Testament God said “listen, Israel” and in the New Testament a voice is heard from heaven saying “this is my beloved Son, listen to him.” When we proclaim that the Word of God is alive, we are saying that we believe that God is actively speaking to us because he wants be close to us, ‘restore our soul’ and as the Good Shepherd tenderly guide us to ‘green pastures’. But are we listening?
Together we shall reflect on the power of God’s Word to bring forth life just like at the time of Creation and we shall focus on three pathways into listening: Adoration, the Bible and the voice of the poor.
The retreat will be held in Cardiff at St. David’s Catholic College on Saturday 6th April 2019 (10:30am -15:00pm).
The retreat is free of charge and open to people of all faiths and no faith. Registration is at 10am with 10.30am start.
