On February 7th 1916 Pope Benedict XV formally erected the Province of Wales and created the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Cardiff. This day marks the centenary of the Province and the Diocese. Archbishop George Stack celebrates a special centenary Mass at Belmont Abbey in thanksgiving. Belmont Abbey is the former pro-cathedral of the old Diocese of Newport, suppressed in the erection of the Archdiocese.
Join the Archbishop, people of the diocese and the monks of Belmont Abbey for this great celebration.
