Catholic Bible School Day – Why should we read the Prophets today?

23rd April 2016 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

- £10

The next Catholic Bible School event is on Saturday 23rd April at St Helen’s RC Church in Barry. The day will be led by Fr Tim McGrath asking us “Why should we read the Prophets today?”

Fr Tim will be looking to see how the prophecies are fulfilled in the Gospels. How did Jesus and St Paul read the Bible? How did St Paul & St Peter teach using only the Old Testament? How do the Old and New Testament hold together? And why are the Prophets so important both then and now? With Fr Tim, we will look at the Covenants of God, as He tried to bring His wayward family home.

Fr Tim McGrath is the parish priest of Our Lady and St Patricks, Maesteg. He is a great communicator with a wealth of knowledge and desire to help people make sense of the Bible in their everyday lives.

Please bring a packed lunch. Suggested donation £10.00.
