Caritas Archdiocese of Cardiff is a new service network of the Diocese, modelled on requirements of the Apostolic Letter Intima Ecclesiae natura, ‘On the Service of Charity’. (IEN)
Caritas Archdiocese of Cardiff works as a Social Action Network in partnership with the Archbishop of Cardiff performing works of charity and education aimed at fostering a spirit of sharing and authentic charity across the Diocese.
The network involves representatives from ACTA; the Archdiocesan Deacons’ Forum; CAFOD; Catholic People; the Diocesan Evangelisation Commission; the Family Life Commission; JPIC (Justice and Peace and Integrity of Creation Network); KSC – Knights of St Columba; the Religious of the Archdiocese; SVP (St Vincent de Paul Society). Together they work to facilitate the networking of charities, agencies, projects, services, groups that are involved in social action or social care in the Archdiocese of Cardiff, whose work is inspired by the Gospel and operate in accordance with Catholic doctrine and social teaching.
