In what has become an annual event, Archbishop George Stack will celebrate Mass for those diagnosed with Dementia and their carers on Wednesday 16th March at 12 noon in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bridgend. The Mass forms part of the Dementia – Prayer week which this year runs from 12th – 19th March.
Dementia is a degenerative disease that has deep effects on both patient and carer alike. Whilst much work takes place to find a cure and to slow the rate of degeneration, carers give time and effort to Dementia patients to give the best quality of life possible on a day-by-day basis. Anyone diagnosed with Dementia and those who care for people with the disease (family members, friends, carers, Extraordinary Ministers of Communion, SVP members etc.) are invited to join Archbishop George in the Sacrifice of the Mass. Let us pray for an end to Dementia and remember those with the disease and their carers for strength and support at this time.
There will be an opportunity to meet people after the Mass as refreshments are served in the parish hall.
