Archbishop Mark meets King Charles and assures him of prayers.

Archbishop Mark was at the Service of Prayer for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth held in Llandaff Cathedral in the presence of His Majesty King Charles and the Queen Consort on Friday.  Following the service, the Archbishop greeted them both at a reception in Cardiff Castle, hosted by the First Minister, Mark Drakeford.  Archbishop Mark assured the King of the prayers of the Catholic community at this time of loss and in his new responsibilities.  He also introduced some of the other Faith Leaders in Wales to the King and the Queen Consort.

On Monday, Archbishop Mark will represent the whole Catholic community of Wales and Herefordshire, at the State Funeral of the Queen.   He carries the prayers of our Dioceses with him to Westminster Abbey – for the soul of the beloved late Queen Elizabeth, for King Charles and all the Royal Family at this time.
