Reopening our churches

On Friday 19th June 2020 the Welsh Government announced that places of worship could reopen for private prayer. And now on Friday 10th July 2020 it has been announced that we can begin to reopen for public worship once certified safe to do so. A lot of work needs to be undertaken to open our churches safely.  Keep in touch with our reopening plans.

Vocations (Good Shepherd) Sunday

Our diocesan Vocations Director, Fr Nicholas, has produced this year’s Vocations Magazine to coincide with Vocations Sunday. Within it, our seminarians let us know how they have been getting on in the midst of the pandemic in their three respective seminaries and we offer an update as to how the last year has affected our hospital chaplains. It also contains testimonies from several of our long serving priests, including Canon Peter Collins and Fr Allan Davies-Hale, a report about our new deacon, Christian Mahoney and the wonderful news of the discovery of our Martyrs, Sts John Lloyd and Philip Evans’ bone (“ex ossibus”) relics.
