The Archdiocese of Cardiff has cooperated with the Taff Housing Association to help address the chronic shortage of affordable housing in the city.
The site of the former Sacred Heart Church in Leckwith was sold to the Taff Housing Association in order to create sixteen one bedroomed flats and three three bedroomed family homes which should be occupied at the end of April. Part of the developmental work was to provide an archaeological survey of the site and produce a photographic record of both church and presbytery before these were demolished.
The complex has been named ‘Church Court’ and, in addition to providing worthy homes for those in housing need, has made a valuable contribution to the built environment of the Leckwith area.
The photos show the almost completed work on this attractive development.
